Can’t wait to find out your baby’s gender? At Midwifery Practice Hygiea, we offer gender reveal ultrasounds starting from 13 weeks using the NUB theory, and from 15–16 weeks with much higher accuracy. If you are under our care, this ultrasound is included as part of your prenatal check-ups.

From 13 Weeks – NUB Theory

The NUB theory (Neural Tube Bud) looks at the angle of the genital tubercle in relation to the spine. It can give an early indication of the baby’s gender, though it's not 100% reliable.

From 15–16 Weeks – Accurate Gender Scan

Looking for more certainty? From 15–16 weeks, we can use ultrasound with high accuracy to determine whether you're expecting a boy or a girl.
