Family Planning
Sometimes it's helpful to prepare well before trying to get pregnant – we're happy to guide you through the process.
How can you best prepare? During our preconception consultation, we provide personalized advice on healthy living and becoming pregnant. Together, we’ll take a look at your lifestyle – and, if applicable, your partner's too.
Pregnancy
Congratulations – you’re pregnant! After a positive pregnancy test, you can contact us directly without a referral.
Your body goes through many changes, and a lot is happening – we’ll be there for you from the very beginning.
From around 7–8 weeks of pregnancy, we schedule an intake appointment along with an early ultrasound.
We’ll inform you about prenatal testing and work together on the journey towards your birth.
Birth
During your pregnancy, we’ll provide detailed information about the birth and help you prepare step by step.
Would you like to give birth at home, in our birth center, or in the hospital?
Around 34 weeks, we can go through a birth plan together if you wish.
A “normal” birth usually takes place between 37 and 42 weeks.
Every birth begins differently and is always unique — but every single one is a special experience!
Postpartum care
Your baby has finally arrived. This is a time of many changes — a period of recovery and adjusting to your new family life.
Rest and love are central during this phase.
We support you through it, together with our dedicated maternity nurse.
We work with independent maternity care providers to ensure personalized care and the safety of your life event.
Contraception
In addition to pregnancy and birth care, we also offer advice and support with contraception.

Ultrasound Center
Hygiea is an ultrasound center where you can come for prenatal check-ups and ultrasound scans related to pregnancy and gynecology.
Our ultrasounds are performed by our own midwives and sonographers using the latest equipment.
Because we provide this care ourselves, it always feels familiar and personal.
Whether you come with a referral from your midwife or simply because you're curious to see your baby – you're more than welcome!
Birth Center
At our birth center – Midwifery Practice Hygiea – you can give birth in one of our two specially designed birthing suites.
Each room is fully equipped with everything you need. Expectant parents can give birth in peace, supported by their own midwife and maternity nurse.
We stay close by to guide you. There's a comfortable chair for the partner, and doulas are more than welcome too.
All necessary tools are available to help make your birth as smooth and pain-relieving as possible.
